CTS 1: AV Technology
(Previously Essentials of AV Technology) establishes the foundational knowledge required for aspiring AV professionals. It is the first course in a two-course series that is designed to prepare learners with the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities that are essential to the CTS Exam.

 

Course Features

Course objectives include:

  • Explain the scope and significance of the AV industry and describe the role of standards within it.
  • Explain the fundamental scientific principles that underpin the AV industry, including sound, light, and electricity.
  • Identify the components of audio and video systems for various AV setups.
  • Describe the role of networking in AV systems.
  • Describe the purpose and components of control systems in AV technology.
  • Identify the different roles within the AV industry, fundamentals or AV project management, and effective communication skills.
