AVI Systems announced its rebrand to FORTÉ, reflecting a new focus on complete workplace technology solutions beyond traditional AV integration. The move positions the company as a strategic partner for meeting room technology deployments and managed services. Since 2022, FORTÉ has expanded its national footprint with 15 new office locations, designed to serve customers where they are.

2. Registration Opens For “Re-Imagined” Digital Signage Experience Event

Questex has begun accepting registrations for the reimagined Digital Signage Experience (DSE) event, which has been rescheduled for mid-fall with a revised format and new location – the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The event takes place from October 19 to 21, and early registrants can take advantage of discounted registration fees.

3. InfoComm America Latina More Than 70 percent Booked For October show

The first InfoComm América Latina is scheduled for October 22-24 in Mexico City, with over 70 percent of the booths already booked. The event features top names, including Shure, Dante by Audinate, Bose Professional, and Kramer Electronics, who are confirmed to be in attendance. "We have received an excellent response from companies in the sector, reflecting a high level of interest in participating in InfoComm América Latina,” says Rodrigo Casassus Coke, AVIXA’s Director of Development for Latin America.

4. L-Acoustics Wins Legal Battles Against Counterfeiters in Europe

L-Acoustics has won legal actions in Norway and Germany against companies found using counterfeit versions of its professional audio products, citing safety concerns and the need to protect its intellectual property. “These cases highlight our dual commitment to safety and market integrity,” says Laurent Ostojski, senior legal counsel at L-Acoustics. “The counterfeit products not only infringe on our intellectual property but present a real danger to unsuspecting audiences and venue operators.”

5. Universal to open first European theme park

Inavate reported that Universal will open its first theme park in Europe, offering a platform for immersive theme park experiences in the UK. The new park, estimated to create approximately 28,000 jobs at the 476-acre complex, is expected to attract 8.5 million visitors in its first year, with the park scheduled to open in 2031.

6. Women in Consumer Technology to Host 17th Annual Legacy Awards at CEDIA Expo

Women in Consumer Technology (WiCT) announced that tickets are now available for its 17th Annual Networking Reception and Legacy Awards Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, September 5, at the Mile High Ballroom in the Colorado Convention Center during CEDIA Expo 2025. For the first time, the annual event will be held as part of the Expo, providing attendees with a new opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in consumer technology in front of a global audience of industry professionals.
